Lily
My Story
Lily Rubin-Miller is a health services researcher who specializes in using data to understand the impact of digital tools on healthcare through patient health and experiential outcomes, system efficiency and efficacy, and provider success. Her work emphasizes creating digital solutions that are actively anti-bias and combat existing systems of oppression and privilege. She began her career working for Epic, the leading vendor of electronic medical record software in the US covering 78% of patients in the country, where she founded the equitable care initiative. Through this initiative, Lily worked with hospitals across the country to ensure that EMR technology centers the patient with a lens of diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice. Much of her research has focused on how technology can impact patient experiences and outcomes, especially for those most vulnerable. Passionate about creating a more efficient, accessible, and equitable healthcare system, Lily uses data-driven methods and nuanced analyses to enhance understanding of real-world clinical outcomes and challenges. In her free time Lily trains, teaches, and performs as an aerial artist and a dancer.
